Dublin Fire Brigade save adorable pups after home becomes smoke logged

A pair of beautiful pooches were saved by Dublin Fire Brigade tonight after becoming trapped in a smoke logged house.

The rescue, which was carried out by firefighters wearing a breathing apparatus, happened after peat briquettes came into contact with a lit stove.

They caught alight, and the home filled with smoke.

Thankfully the firefighters from Donnybrook and Rathfarnham brought them to safety, and they are now with a vet for observation.

Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Firefighters in Breathing Apparatus from Donnybrook and Rathfarnham rescued two dogs from a smoke logged house this evening. Peat briquettes which came in to contact with a lit stove caught light, filling the home with smoke. The dogs have been brought to a vet for observation."
