Brave firefighters from around Dublin were called on to help free two people trapped in a car on the motorway this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the serious road traffic collision that took place involving a HGV and a car between the Port Tunnel and Santry northbound.
Dublin Fire Brigade had to call on personnel from North Strand, Kilbarrack and Phibsborough to help free the two patients.
They were immediately transported to hospital but Dublin Fire Brigade said that they have non-life threatening injuries.
