Dublin Fire Brigade rush to scene of flipped truck on M50 closing northbound lanes at Red Cow

Shocking photos show a flipped over truck after a dramatic accident on the M50 causing all lanes to close.

The images from Dublin Fire Brigade show the vehicle on its side after skidding near a bridge.

Brave firefighters rushed to the scene to make sure nobody was hurt. Firetrucks and an ambulance are visible at the scene, along with a dozen of our heroic workers.

There is evidence of skidding on the road next to the upturned truck, while the contents in the trailer have fallen out from the accident.

The collision happened this morning on the J9 Red Cow Northbound.

DFB shared the photos, adding: “Firefighter/Paramedics from Tallaght and Dolphins Barn have attended the scene of an articulated HGV which has rolled over on the M50 at junction 9.

“Lane closures in place following a collision HGV roll over.”

They added that minor injuries were treated at the scene, thankfully nobody was seriously hurt.

Recovery teams are on site to move the damaged vehicle, causing all lanes to close northbound at J9 Red Cow.
