Dublin Fire Brigade quick thinking helps wheelchair user off bus following collision in Clondalkin

There was some quick-thinking by Dublin Fire Brigade to help a wheelchair user get off the bus following a collision earlier today.

A person was hospitalised following a collision between a bus and a car in Clondalkin.

Using some wooden slats and rope, the intrepid Dublin Fire Brigade crew managed to create a make-shift ramp to assist the person off the bus.

There were six people assessed at the scene following the collision, which occurred between the bus and a BMW vehicle.

Units from Tallaght and Dolphin's Barn responded to the scene.

Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Firefighter/Paramedics from Tallaght and Dolphins Barn are clear from the scene of an RTC between a bus and a car in Clondalkin.

"Six people assessed on scene, and one transported to hospital. A make-shift ramp was constructed to help a wheelchair using passenger disembark."
