Dublin Fire Brigade present Lord Mayor Hazel Chu with St Patrick's Day shamrock bowl at Mansion House

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu was presented with a shamrock bowl by the Dublin Fire Brigade pipe band today to mark St Patrick's Day.

The socially distanced presentation, which took place at the Mansion House, saw a lovely performance by the pipe band on the grounds outside.

The Lord Mayor was joined by her daughter Alex while she watched and enjoyed the performance by members of the pipe band.

Tom McLoughlin and Damien Fynes of the Dublin Fire Brigade pipe band spoke to Dublin Live after carrying out a great performance for the presentation.

Tom said: "We're here to present the bowl of shamrock to our Lord Mayor of Dublin (Hazel Chu)."

While Damien added: "It's a big honour. We've travelled all over the world and this is the first time we present the shamrock to our own Lord Mayor."
