Dublin Fire Brigade help deliver baby after mum goes into labour outside home

Firefighters came to the rescue of a young mother who went into labour and helped deliver her newborn son.

Her little bundle of joy just couldn't wait for the hospital and instead left the job to some heroic members of Dublin Fire Brigade to help bring him into the world.

Dublin Fire Brigade described on social media how their paramedics swung into action before taking the mum and boy to the maternity hospital.

The baby was delivered outside a family home in the capital on Friday, Dublin Live reports.

The Dublin Fire Brigade said: “Happy birthday and congratulations on the arrival of the latest #DFBaby boy.

“Firefighters/paramedics, including an advanced paramedic, assisted mum in the safe delivery of the healthy baby at home before transport to a maternity hospital.”
