Dublin Fire Brigade face rough mountain terrain and hill walk to help 'worse for wear' teens

Dublin Fire Brigade were faced with a 15 minute hill walk late last night after a group of teenagers called for help while in the Dublin Mountains.

The teens, who DFB say were "worse for wear" were blocked by a barrier and and unsuitable ground while on the foothills of the mountains.

The Tallaght firefighters and paramedics worked with the National Ambulance Service and gardai to help the patient.

Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Tallaght Firefighter/Paramedics teamed up with Paramedics from NAS and Gardai to assist teenagers worse for wear deep in to forestry of the foothills of the Dublin Mountains.

"Blocked by a barrier and unsuitable ground the patient was only accessible by a 15-minute hill walk."

The call-out followed a bad collision in North County Dublin yesterday.

The crash involved three cars and three people were hospitalised as a result.

DFB said: "Firefighter/Paramedics from Kilbarrack and a Rescue Tender attended a three car RTC in the North County earlier today. Three to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Drive to arrive, and always wear a seat belt."
