Dublin Fire Brigade battled two separate vehicle blazes on Saturday night.
The firefighters took to twitter to confirm that they had extinguished the flames in South Dublin, one at a quarry and one on a slip-off road.
Speaking about the fire at the quarry, they said: "Overnight we were called to a car set alight in a quarry in South Dublin, fire was out on arrival but there was significant damage to the vehicle".

The workers attended the second scene with special breathing apparatus, and they said on twitter: "Vehicle fire being dealt with by firefighters in breathing apparatus in South Dublin tonight".

Both incidents were dealt with swiftly, but it is not believed either car can be saved.
It comes just days after a car was set alight in the driveway of a house in Dublin, which Gardai have confirmed they are investigating.
