Emergency services rushed to the scene of a house fire in north Dublin on Friday night where the occupants made a miraculous escape.
Crews from Blanchardstown and Phibsborough fought the blaze at a premises in Castleknock.
The occupants of the house somehow managed to escape the inferno inside the house uninjured.
Dublin Fire Brigade and Gardai both attended the scene with DFB using a turntable ladder to dampen down the fire as the roof structure became unsafe for firefighters to work on.
During the week, a careless thug had to be dealt a "quiet word" from locals after a consaw was taken from a fire engine in North Dublin.
Heroic firefighters rushed to the scene in Darndale last night only to have the saw taken from their engine as they fought a blaze.
The vital piece of equipment is needed for fast access, and could prove crucial in saving someone's life.
Outraged locals banded together, and after a "quiet word" managed to locate the saw and return it.
The Dublin Fire Brigade thanked the community for tracking it down.
