A donations page has been set up by a north Dublin GAA team for a young teen who sadly died.
Myles Roche, 15, passed away on March 30 in the USA surrounded by his family and friends with many relatives in Dublin and around Ireland sharing their heartbreaking tributes for the young boy online.
His uncle from north Dublin paid a fitting homage to his nephew who he described as an idol to his kids.
He said: "This young gentleman, laid to rest today. Not just my nephew, but an idol to my kids too. An inspiration to us all.
"To say we are devastated is an understatement. Can't believe I'm typing this, but rest easy Myles. Eternal love, heartbreaking."
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a donation are being asked to make memorial contributions to Ballymun Kickhams GAA in support of youth programs.
Those who wish to contribute can donate on their website here.
His obituary reads: "Myles Roche was an extraordinary child. He was exceedingly kind, decent, witty, unassuming and open to big adventures from an early age.
"He cherished his friendships with the 'lads' at Friends Central School and would give anything to help others in need. Above all, Myles maintained special and distinctly unique relationships with his Dad, Mom and beloved brother, Riley.
"He knew us all so well, accepted us for who we were and inspired us to be better.
"Myles was quite simply one of the most perfect humans that we ever met and we are so grateful to have had an amazing fifteen year run with this loving, old soul."
