Dublin driver blasts through brick wall during bizarre crash on quiet road

Firefighters from Kilbarrack attended a scene after a Dublin driver powered straight through a brick wall.

The collision happened on Thursday and crumbled most of the large wall.

Posting about the incident on their Twitter page, Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Firefighters from Kilbarrack fire station were called to a road traffic collision today.

"In the event of an unsafe structure or building we can call for assistance from the local authority."

In a separate incident on Friday morning, Dublin Fire Brigade responded to a water rescue incident on the East Wall Road near the junction of Alfie Byrne Road.

Traffic restrictions were implemented in the area but were later lifted after the rescue mission was complete.
