Dublin doctor, developer and stamp dealer among tax defaulters named by Revenue

A jockey and horse trainer, medical doctor, property developer and stamp dealer based in Dublin are among the tax defaulters named by Revenue.

Businesses based in the capital are among the highest defaulters on the tax default list for the first three months of 2019.

The list was released by Revenue yesterday, with a total value of settlements at €21,131,024.16.

The biggest defaulter was Eurosurgical Limited which is now in liquidation. The Beaumont Avenue, Churchtown based company, owe Revenue €12,399,557.00.

The charges relate to under-declaration of Corporation Tax, PAYE/PRSI/USC and VAT. There is €10,999,557 of the balance still to be paid off.

Property developer Lurganmore Limited was also listed, owing Revenue €2,233,633. The amount due is because of under-declaration of VAT. There is still €1,103,633 to be paid off.

In court, Dublin Airport based aircraft handling agents Swissport Ireland Ltd were fined for the misuse of marked mineral oil. The company was fined €27,500 for 11 charges.
