Dublin Dart services out of action at busy stops this weekend due to 'essential works'

Irish Rail has confirmed that Dart services in south Dublin will be severely impacted due to line upgrade works being carried out both this weekend and the following weekend.

Engineering works between Dun Laoghaire and Greystones on September 18-19 and September 25-26 means there will be no train service between these two locations.

The following arrangements have been put in place to minimise delays. They are:

  • DART service there will be no train service between Dun Laoghaire and Greystones. DART services will operate between Malahide/Howth and Dun Laoghaire only
  • Sandycove & Glasthule, Glenageary, Dalkey, Killiney, Shankill and Bray DART stations will be closed for train services
  • Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland will accept valid rail tickets for travel within the affected area and City Centre.

Capacity on all Irish rail services has returned to 100% with a full schedule in operation across the network. All trains are thoroughly cleaned as well as customer touchpoints on trains and around the station.
