Dublin couple who were living with their parents win dream home worth €405k in GAA club raffle

A Dublin couple have won their dream home worth €405,000 after buying a GAA club raffle ticket for €100.

Jessica O’Callaghan and Stephen Flanagan from Crumlin were both living in their parents houses while they saved up to buy their own home.

The pair were delighted as they received the keys for their new three-bedroom home in Maynooth earlier this week.

Jessica, 28, bought a raffle ticket online for Wexford GAA club Faythe Harriers' house draw because she had a lucky feeling just days before the draw took place.

Speaking on Today FM Jessica said: "I have been every day looking in the windows and we just got the keys.

"I'm outside the house and I still don't think it has sunk in.

"The house is just beautiful. I can't believe it. It's our forever home, 100%.

"We were living with our parents so we were only really together when we went on holidays.

"It means the world to me."

The raffle for the home in the Carton Wood estate was advertised a year ago to help the club raise funds for a new clubhouse and community centre at Páirc Charman.

Carton Wood is located on the Dublin Road close to Maynooth town.
