Dublin councillor mocks himself after his hilarious RTE news clip goes viral

A Dublin councillor has poked fun at himself after a humorous RTE news clip went viral over the weekend.

Labour Councillor for the South West Inner City Darragh Moriarty took to Twitter to mock himself comparing his brief appearance on the news to like something out of Alan Partridge.

He posted a screenshot of his hands raised with closed fists almost as if he was in a fighting stance which was caught on tape by the camera person during his interview.

Alongside the picture he posted was a snap of Ricky Bobby played by Will Ferrell who coined the famous phrase "I'm not sure what to do with my hands" during a scene from the 2006 hit film 'Talladega Nights'.

As well as this, he attached another pic alongside his own from a BBC skit where Steve Coogan's character, an Irish farmer and Partridge look-a-like, sings 'Come Out You Black and Tans' live on air, raising his fists in a similar manner to Moriarty.

The councillor joked alongside the pictures saying: "When you don't know how to telly."
