Dublin club brilliantly responds to Roy Keane's admission of game he thinks about everyday

Roy Keane has admitted that he thinks about a schoolboy game against a Dublin club every day.

Keane has been featuring in the 'Driving Home For Christmas' series alongside Micah Richards which has been met with rave reviews.

And Keane recounted a cup final loss to Dublin side Belvedere from when he was 13 years old.

Speaking on the show, he said: "The only thing I look back on is disappointments.

"I lost a final when I was 13 years of age in Ireland and a day doesn't go by when I don't think about it.

"We were 2-0 up and a day doesn't go by where I don't think about it. I remember it like it was yesterday.

"I remember the guy who scored it, he scored a hat-trick, from Belvedere. He was playing midfield and he was kind of my man."

And Belvedere themselves took to social media and gave clarity on the game in question.

The club said on social media: "This is brilliant. Just sent in by one of our coaches.

"Roy Keane & Micah Richards on their Sky Sports road trip with the Manchester United & FAIreland legend talking about one of his biggest disappointments in Football we’re his Rockmount AFC side after leading in an All Ireland U15 Cup final against Belvedere.

"[They] were beaten 3-2 with Belvo’s Ken Gillard turning the game around & scoring a hatrick(we’ve been informed it was only 2, Spike McCormack got the winner sorry Ken) to win it for the blues. Love it"
