Dublin City Council teams up with RTE to help shoot mystery new documentary on River Liffey

Staff from Dublin City Council's drainage division were busy giving RTE a helping hand film a mystery new show this morning.

The broadcaster needed access to the River Poddle tunnel as part of filming a brand new documentary, based on the River Liffey.

A section of Dame Street was cornered off on Friday morning while members of the drainage division helped the production crew access the tunnel.

Tweeting about the teamwork between the council and RTE, Dublin City Council said: "Staff from our Drainage Division were on hand this morning to assist RTÉ access the River Poddle tunnel.

"All part of a new documentary on the River Liffey."

But the national broadcaster was staying tight-lipped on the details of the show with a spokesperson for RTE declining to comment any further when contacted by Dublin Live.
