Dublin City Council are recruiting for a number of roles, ranging from accountants, to bricklayers and even a scientific officer.

Executive Scientific Officer (Microbiology)

Annual salary: €48,691 - €67,684 per annum

Closing date for applications: Thursday, 9 May 2019 at 5pm

Job description: Responsibility for microbiological and biological testing of water samples to the required accreditation standards as required and the calibration, operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.

Annual salary: €46,770 - €57,157 per annum

Senior accountant

Bricklayer

Hourly wage: €16.21 per hour, 39 hr/wk

Job requirements:

  • Have served a recognised apprenticeship as a Bricklayer
  • Have satisfactory knowledge and experience of construction and maintenance of pavements and allied structures and of matters, including traffic requirements, public utilities and services
  • Have attained a standard of education such as would enable the candidate to carry out efficiently the duties of the post
  • Have satisfactory experience in the supervision and control of staff
  • Have good practical and problem solving skills
  • Have a methodical approach to work
  • Possess good communication skills and be capable of keeping written reports as required
  • Have the ability to organise work and work schedules in an efficient manner
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative, in an independent environment and without constant supervision
  • Possess good customer care skills
  • Have good knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations, their implications for the organisation and the employee, and their application in the workplace.
