Dublin City Council congratulate 'true gentleman' on retirement after 41 years of service

Dublin City Council have congratulated one of their most diligent workers on his retirement.

Brendan Flood had been working with the council's Waste Management Services for the last 41 years.

The retiree's former colleagues described him as a "true gentleman" and a "very diligent worker".

Dublin City Council Waste Management Services tweeted: "Today we said goodbye to Brendan Flood after 41 years of service with @DubCityCouncil.

"Brendan is a true gentleman and a very diligent worker.

"Everyone at #wastemanagement wishes you a long and healthy #retirement."

Dublin City Council tweeted: "Congrats Brendan! Enjoy your retirement."

The council's waste management team are tasked with carrying out overnight deep cleans, removing illegal dumping and power-washing graffiti on Dublin streets.
