Dublin City Council has confirmed 150 extra toilets and 130 more bins outdoors ahead of the June Bank Holiday weekend.
Following on from last weekend's events on South William Street, DCC has announced a range of measures to help avoid a similar situation happening again.
They will also be increasing the service to deal with additional waste collection and contracted services for cleaning toilets and maintaining social distancing in queues.
The new measures that will be in place this weekend include:
- 150 portaloo toilets across the city
- 54 large eurobins
- 80 barrel bins strategically placed in high footfall areas.
The portaloos will be placed both on the north side and the south side. They will be open from 10 am to 11 pm daily.
The locations for the north side are:
- Wolfe Tone Square
- Central Median on O'Connell Street
- Smithfield - south end
- Royal Canal
- Mountjoy Sq
- Diamond Park
The portaloo locations on the south side are:
- Sycamore Street
- Temple Bar
- Chatham Row
- South King Street
- Coppinger Row
- Dame Court
- Dame Lane
- Merrion Square
