Dublin city centre crash sees car destroyed as debris strewn across Portland Row

A car was destroyed and debris was strewn across Dublin city centre yesterday evening following a collision on Portland Row.

Emergency services including Dublin Fire Brigade and gardai responded to the scene as the road was shut to traffic following the incident.

Footage has emerged from the scene that shows the carnage caused by the collision, with the front of one car destroyed in the incident.

Its bonnet has smashed off and is left on the side of the car, while the bumper is shredded in half while smoke billows from the engine.

While both cars have airbags deployed, with pieces of debris surrounding the entire road

There were no reports of any serious injuries last night, although there was disruption to traffic due to the incident.

Dublin Live has contacted Dublin Fire Brigade and gardai for a statement.
