Dublin Christmas: Festive market opens at Bewley's Grafton Street

A brand new Christmas Market has opened in Bewley's on Grafton Street to celebrate Irish businesses during the festive seasons.

One of Ireland’s best-known buskers, Allie Sherlock, turned on the Christmas lights at Bewley’s Cafe and launched the Bewley’s Christmas Market.

With the aim of supporting local businesses and producers, the market will have a variety of gift ideas on offer including ceramics, books, vinyl records, crafted goods and Bewley’s own limited edition Christmas Coffee Blend.

Bewley’s, which is the country's leading independent coffee roaster, has partnered with a number of local Irish companies as part of this project including Blanco Nino, Oxmantown Skincare, Pigeon House Candles and Savage Sauces.

Other vendors who will appear at the market are Due South Clothing, Jam Art, Bumbóg, Homespun and Company of Books.

The Bewley’s Christmas Market is located on the Johnson’s Court entrance to Bewley’s Cafe and will be open throughout December.

Speaking about the festive market, Jason Doyle, Managing Director of Bewley’s Ireland & UK, said:

"Our cafe is quintessentially Dublin and has always been a beacon for culture, conversation, and connection.

"Through our Christmas Market and as part of our Christmas campaign, we want to support Irish businesses, community, and culture and provide them with a platform to showcase their products to shoppers in Dublin city. We look forward to welcoming customers into the new Bewley’s Christmas Market."

The Bewley's Christmas market was created to give independent Irish creators, who Bewley's say are integral to the fabric of Irish culture and creativity, access to a high footfall premises.

The historic Dublin cafe also recently launched their festive drinks menu available from €5.40. The menu includes the Orange Winter Warmer Hot Chocolate and Latte, Frosted Mint Hot Chocolate and Latte and the Gingerbread Latte.
