Dublin choir drop chilling cover of Avicii classic 'Fade into Darkness' to mark anniversary of star's sudden death

A North Dublin Choir have released a chilling cover of Aviccii's 'Fade into Darkness' to mark the anniversary of the DJ's death.

The Fingal Youth Choir have paid tribute to the star in a bid to raise money for Pieta House.

On 20th April 2018, Swedish producer Tim Bergling AKA Avicii was found dead in a hotel in Muscat Oman.

When is Wyclef Jean coming to BARE in the Woods festival and how much are tickets?

He died by suicide.

The DJ was just 28, and was widely known for tracks such as 'Levels', Wake me Up' and 'Fade into Darkness'.

He had been named in DJ Mag's top 20 artists every year since 2011, had won countless awards for his work including being nominated for a Grammy twice.

The Dublin's choir's tribute is a completely different take on the track that went platinum in his home nation of Sweden.

The soothing arrangements are a far cry from the bouncing tracks star is associated with - but their version certainly sends a chill down the spine.

They said: "Fingal Academy of Music has created this page because we want to make a difference. "The singers in Fingal Youth Choir (FYC) were inspired by the work of Pieta House - The Centre for the Prevention of Self-Harm or Suicide and wanted to support them by raising money.

When is Lewis Capaldi playing in Dublin? And how can I get tickets?

"They have chosen to do so by recording a song by Swedish DJ Avicii, who died by suicide on 20 April 2018."
