Dublin children hold world's longest chain of people patting each other on back

Youngsters from Dublin may have smashed a world record - for the longest chain of people patting each other on the back.

The Willow Park Parents’ Association (WPA) said on Thursday that it thinks the 824 kids from four schools in the capital have broken the world record.

The current record was set in June 2018 with 329 children from the Leicester Grammar Junior school in the UK.

Mr Eddie Barron, Chairman of the WPA, said: “We believe that we have broken the world record.

"We will submit the evidence to the Guinness Book of Records in the coming days and we hope that within a number of weeks they will be able to verify that we have set a new world record for the longest human chain of people patting each other on the back."
