Dublin charity launch campaign to provide water to the city's homeless

A Dublin charity has launched a bid to keep people on the city's streets hydrated.

Feed Our Homeless first rolled out its campaign last summer – and is currently seeking donations of water.

Chief executive Tony Walsh said: “Our teams will be out distributing bottles of water to people sleeping rough on the street because of the warm weather we’re expecting during the next week.

“If anyone wants to help out in terms of donating water or wants to volunteer they’re more than welcome to contact our office on 014442966.”

The charity has drop-off points next door to Darndale sports hall and at Feed Our Homeless HQ at 15 Lower Mount Street.

Crates of water can also be left with community activist Tom Duffy in Portlaoise, while the charity can be texted or called on 085-8109105.
