The Feed Our Homeless charity annual Christmas food appeal will take place in Tesco stores from Friday in Dublin running until Sunday.
FOH provide fresh hot meals to over 1500 families in emergency accommodation and homeless people who are sleeping rough on a weekly basis.
The team of volunteers will be outside Tesco in Swords, Parnell St and Merrion Shopping Centre from 10am to 6pm during the three days.
FOH want to collect €20,000 worth of non-perishable food in Tesco stores around the city this weekend.
The volunteers aim to gather enough supplies to provide food hampers to families struggling to meet ends meet.
FOH are a non-profit, non-funded voluntary run charity who depend on the generosity and support of the public and local businesses to carry out their frontline services.
Founder Tony Walsh said: “We rely heavily on these donations on non-perishable food donated by the pubic shopping in Tesco stores this weekend as it will allow our teams to continue supporting the thousands of people in need this Christmas and right into the new year.”
Mr Walsh said last year the team received a fantastic response from Tesco shoppers, which enabled them to provide fresh meals and food hampers well into January.
He added: “The FOH management would like to thank their charity partners and also the general public for their fantastic support.
“If you are shopping in any of the above Tesco stores this weekend please say hello to our team of volunteers who will be collecting much needed food supplies.
“Please show your support by donating non-perishable foods and no matter how small your donation is it all makes a difference.”
