Dublin Bus suspend service on route 40 AGAIN due to anti-social behaviour

Dublin Bus have been forced to withdraw service from a route that has been persistently troubled by anti-social behaviour in recent weeks.

Officials were forced to suspend part of the route 40 service for the rest of the night due to trouble in the area.

Dublin Bus released a statement saying the Fonthill Road and Neilstown would not be served from 9:15pm.

It read: "We wish to advise customers that due to anti-social behavior buses will not serve Fonthill Rd. or Neilstown from 2115hrs to last bus Oct.30th.

"Nearest stop Coldcut Rd. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused."

The route has been plagued by issues in recent months.

In September, officials were forced to suspend service six times in the space of two weeks due to ongoing anti-social behaviour in the area.

Local Councillor Mark Ward has previously slammed the behaviour of the thugs and urged parents to have conversations with their children about the dangers of such bahaviour.

He said: “I have had residents onto me who have been left waiting on buses or have been asked to leave the bus well before their desired stop.

"This is really affecting people of my community in North Clondalkin."
