Dublin Bus stop goes missing in Donabate to the surprise of locals

Sometimes the bus doesn’t show up, but this time, it’s the stop that isn’t there.

Commuters in North Dublin were stunned to find a missing bus stop at Willowbrook in Ballalease North, Donabate last month.

Locals noticed it has been missing since March 28 and as of today, it has still not been replaced.

The following buses serve this mysterious stop that disappeared without explanation:

  • 33b bus from Swords to Portrane

  • 33d from Custom House Quay to Smarts Lane

  • 33e from Irish Life Mall to Northcliffe Heights

  • 33t from Donabate National School to Turvey Drive

A photo taken by a commuter shows that the pole and sign where the bus sets down were taken out of the ground.

So if you're looking to get on or off the bus at Willowbrook, look for the hole in the cement!

Dublin Bus and the National Transport Authority have both been contacted by Dublin Live for comment.
