Dublin Bus forced to stop service on route 27 for third time in 10 days due to anti-social behaviour

Dublin Bus have been forced to stop serving part of a southside route once again due to anti-social behaviour.

Route 27 will not serve the Brookfield and Jobstown areas for the rest of the evening.

This is the third time in 10 days that bus officials have been forced to stop serving the same areas due to persistent thuggish behaviour.

Dublin Bus said: "We wish to advise customers that due to anti-social behavior buses will not serve Brookfield/Jobstown from 2030hrs until last bus Feb 24th.

"Buses will stay on n81 and terminate at Killinarden. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Drivers on the route had threatened to withdraw service on the day of the General Election to highlight issues of persistent bad behaviour.

That action was averted at the last minute after drivers were assured an inspector would be dedicated to the area and there would be extra gardai on patrol.
