Dublin Bus forced to pull busy South Dublin route early due to anti-social behaviour incident

Dublin Bus bosses were left with no choice but to pull buses from a South Dublin suburb last night after a number of anti-social incidents.

The 61 route, which runs between Eden Quay and Whitechurch, was forced to stop serving the Southside suburb from 8.30pm last night.

Drivers avoided the area until the last bus that night.

It's the second time in the space of seven days drivers have had issues going to Whitechruch.

A spokesperson confirmed the route stopped going into the area saying they didn't resume until the last bus.

The service has since returned to its normal schedule.

They said: "Dublin Bus can confirm Route 61 did not operate in the Whitechurch area from 20.30 until last bus due to incidents of anti-social behaviour last night.

"A full service has operated from first bus this morning."
