Dublin Bus forced to divert popular route due to anti-social behaviour

Dublin Bus has been forced to divert a popular northside route on Sunday afternoon due to anti-social behaviour.

The company were forced to make changes to their route 40 for one hour with normal services resuming at 4:15pm.

The route did not serve St Helena's Road and Cardiffsbridge Road in Finglas with operations in place via Finglas Road and Mellowes Road in both directions.

Dublin Bus apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused and urged people to call their customer service line on (01) 8734222 or to follow their social media platforms for further details.

On Halloween night, Dublin Bus diverted a popular cross city route for the same reason.

Route 27, which travels from Clare Hall on the northside to Jobstown on the southside, did not serve Brookfield in Tallaght for almost two hours.

The busy service - which runs every 10 minutes at peak times - was partially diverted during this time.
