Dublin Bus divert route from two different roads due to anti-social behaviour

Dublin Bus has been forced to curtail the same route twice in one night due to anti-social behaviour.

Fed-up drivers in Finglas had to stop driving the Number 40 on St Helena's Road for around an hour due to issues before they then had to divert from Cardiffbridge Road later in the evening.

The company apologised to customers affected on both occassions.

St Helena's Road was avoided from around 6pm before service resumed around 7.30pm.

Later Cardiffsbridge Road was cut off for the rest of the night.

They said: "We wish to advise customers that due to anti social behaviour route 40 will not serve Cardiffsbridge Road for the rest of tonight. Bus will operate via St Helena's Road, Farnham Drive, Wellmount Road, Patrickswell Place, onto Cappagh Road to junction of Cardiffsbridge, and back to normal route.

Last week the same route was forced to divert from Neilstown in West Dublin for an entire night due to behaviour drivers were being faced with.
