Dublin Bus announce a 24-hour service for TWO very popular and busy routes

Dublin Bus has announced that it will launch a 24-hour service for two of its most popular and busiest routes.

The National Transport Authority (NTA) confirmed that routes 41 and 15 will have a round the clock service in the capital and is expected to start on December 1.

The date was confirmed to Fine Gael TD for Dublin North West, Noel Rock in a meeting of the Oireachtas Committee of Transport, Tourism and Sport on Wednesday afternoon.

Deputy Rock said: “The confirmation of a starting date for this new 24-hour service is very welcome and barring any delays will be a welcome gift for public transport users, particularly as we enter the Christmas party season and long beyond it.

“Additionally, those coming home for Christmas, will also have a direct route to the city centre with the 41-bus route servicing the Airport, one of the routes that will be part of this new service.

“I am also delighted that they have confirmed the same for the 15 bus route.

“This is a positive move forward and I hope that Dublin Bus will work closely with the NTA to ensure the service starts on this date.

“This will benefit many commuters in Dublin and I would encourage more people to use public transport, particularly later at night,” continued Deputy Rock.
