Dublin-bound traffic delays after 'serious collision'

Motorists travelling on the M1 this afternoon are advised to leave extra time following a crash.

Police say a serious collision on the M1 south of Dundalk is causing lengthy tailbacks and diversions are in place .

A PSNI spokesperson said: "An Garda Siochana have made us aware of a serious collision on the M1 motorway south of Dundalk which is causing delays for Dublin-bound traffic. Diversions are in operation but anyone making their way south on the M1 should leave extra time for their journey."
