Dublin bites: Cheap eats to grab in the city centre

Dublin is full to the brim of great restaurants but when you're on the hunt for cheap eats in Dublin, there are some who really do the trick.

Nothing gets our belly rumbling like the aroma of "hmm, that smells delicious". Often, we have to resist for the sake of our wallets.

But grabbing a bite in town doesn't have to be an expensive affair. Here are the best places to get cheap eats in Dublin city centre.

DiFontaine's Pizza

On the go? Grab a slice from DiFontaine's on Parliament Street. You'll get a slice the size of your head for just €4 and trust us, it will fill you up.

Little Dumpling

Little Dumpling can be found on Mary Street and Stephen Street, serving great value bites such as dumplings for €7 (ranging from a portion of four to six) and sides for €3 or €4 such as miso soup, noodles and kimchi.

P'Macs

With cheap pizza, craft beer and even complimentary crisps and snacks, P'Macs is a great stop-off for a post-shopping bite or pre-night out adventure. They offer lovely bites for just €9.

Falafel

Located in the heart of Temple Bar, you'll find gorgeous pitta wraps and other dishes bursting with flavour here, many of which you can get for under a tenner.

Mongolian BBQ

If you're passing by Mongolian BBQ during the day, you'll be able to grab yourself a lunch bowl for €9.90.

If you fancy adding on a beer or glass of wine (g'wan, you know you do), you can do that for €5.50. If you're proper starving and want a real bang for your buck, they have an all you can eat deal for €15.90.

Pablo Picante

Locations in the city centre include Baggot Street, Dawson Street, Clarendon Market and Aston Quay and their menu features some seriously desirable burritos priced between €5.50 and €9.99, including Cali Carnitas, Beefy Barbacoa and Sonny San Diego.

Meanwhile, they also have their 'Torta House' at Clarendon Market serving traditional Mexican-style sandwiches for around the same price (We recommend the Sloppy Jose!).

Bunsen

Hamburgers go for €7.95 here while you can grab a double for €10.65, a cheeseburger for €8.95 and a double for €10.95.

Nab yourself one of these bad boys and sure if it's a nice day, head on up to Stephen's Green to eat al fresco.

Neon Asian Street Food

Found on Camden Street, Neon has an array of mouth-watering Asian street food bits that will satisfy those cravings for you, including veggie spring rolls, satay chicken skewers, slow-cooked pork ribs, aromatic duck and loads more. All of their small bites are priced between €5.80 and €7.

Sano Pizza

You'll find this pizzeria on Exchange Street and we bet the prices will surprise you.

Serving up proper Neapolitan pizza on the edge of Temple Bar, you'll get yourself one of a range of authentic pizzas, most of which are available for under a tenner (starting at just €7.50).
