A Dublin beautician has warned of the risks of tinting your eyebrows without getting a patch test.
Brows by Karla Carruth took to Instagram to warn people of the potential danger that comes along with tinting, sharing a shocking photo with her followers.
The beauty expert based in Portmarnock said: “Ladies this is why we patch test.
“My client had come in for a patch test as it was her first time coming to me.
“All new clients must be patch tested 48 hours before their appointment and existing clients every six months.
“She was never allergic to tints (only certain hennas) before up until recently and thank God we took the precautions and patch tested.
The photo uploaded by Karla shows the clients reaction to a henna tint and HD tint.
“In the end we just went with waxing which she was delighted with,” Karla continued.
“Please take the time to get your patch tests. We all know it can be annoying having to make the journey out for it but it will always be worth it.
“Can you imagine how severe this could have been if she hadn't got one, the brows being so close to the eyes. Can’t deal.”
