Dublin band Pillow Queens have announced that they are to make their US television debut next Tuesday by appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS.
Excited guitarist Sarah Corcoran teased the announcement yesterday on Twitter with the comment: "Perhaps the coolest thing that’s ever happened in my whole life is being announced tomorrow."
The band followed up Twitter this morning by confirming their appearance, adding: "Somehow, this isn't a joke? Big week for the PQs!" prompting dozens of supportive messages from fans and fellow musicians.
It certainly has been a busy first week of 2021 for the band - on Wednesday their debut album In Waiting was nominated for the Choice Music Prize, while yesterday they appeared on Vicar Street's VISION series alongside Lisa Hannigan, Loah & Joanne McNally:
