Dublin art group Subset to launch new exhibition focusing on human impact on environment

A brand new exhibition focusing on human impact on the environment will be opening in Dublin this month.

“Micro vs Macro” will be exploring the selective blindness of mankind on the topic of climate change.

The exhibition, launched by Subset, will be taking place at the RHA Gallery at 15 Ely Place from September 20 to January 26 as part of their "Climate" project.

The Dublin art collective hopes to raise awareness of the dangers of microplastic and how as this plastic gets smaller it becomes more pervasive and harder to detect.

A spokesperson for Subset said: “The extent of the consequences from microplastics are widely unknown.

“With each technological advancement in pollution detection, our situation seems more and more hopeless. As this plastic gets smaller it becomes more pervasive and harder to detect.

“The repercussions are overlooked and now the problem can only be truly understood through a microscope. We hope this macro expression of the micro will give pause for thought.”
