Dublin Animation Film Festival set to return with screening of Shaun The Sheep

The Dublin Animation Film Festival will return this month with some big names set to make an appearance.

Ireland’s longest running animation festival will be taking place in The Pavilion Theatre in Dun Laoghaire on October 18 and 19.

Fans will have the chance to catch the screening of the new "Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon" as well as meet the producer Paul Kewley and co-director Richard Phelan from Academy Award  winning studio Aardman Animations.

Event director Fionnghuala Ni Neill said: “Dublin Animation Festival, Ireland’s longest running event of its kind, is creating huge excitement both in Ireland and overseas.

“The festival, which aims to celebrate the best in Irish animation, highlights the talented animators that live on our shores.

“It’s the 9th year we are holding the festival and we are honoured to have Paul Kewley and co-director Richard Phelan visiting Dun Laoghaire to showcase their latest work and meet and greet animation fans.”
