One of several frontliners hauled off early last Saturday, Ciaran Kilkenny predicts a pedal to the metal Healy Park encounter is coming.
Dublin and Tyrone are already in the All-Ireland semi-finals ahead of their last round Super 8s clash and, while there may be some temptation to rest frontliners, momentum is key to Dublin’s drive for five
“Every time we’ve played Tyrone we’ve had serious games with them,” said Kilkenny.
“We’ve played against them so many times over the last number of years and there’s always great enthusiasm and energy to meet up against each other.
“Like the game last year was incredible – incredible atmosphere, a really close game as well, I remember it came down to Ronan O’Neill’s free hit at the end, so there wasn’t much between the two teams.
“They’re performing really well so it’s going to be a serious contest. We have to prepare our best for it, it’s the next one that’s in front of us.
“In sport, you just think about what’s right in front of you. If you’re thinking about something that’s after that, you’re going to fall over yourself.
“So your focus is on Tyrone and they’re performing really, really well. They’ve had a really good league campaign, incredible manager, incredible team, so you just have to really focus in on that game”.
