Dublin already red hot favourites for seven in a row after All-Ireland victory over Mayo

Dublin have already been installed as red hot favourites to retain their All-Ireland crown and make it seven-in-a-row next year.

The Dubs clinched their sixth title in a row and 30th overall with a 2-14 to 0-15 victory over Mayo at Croke Park on Saturday evening.

Dessie Farrell’s side raced out of the traps in the final as Dean Rock found the net in a record 13 seconds.

But Mayo responded well and went into the final quarter just one point behind before the Boys in Blue stormed to the finish line to secure a five point victory over their old rivals.

Within minutes of the final whistle at GAA headquarters, BoyleSports had already cut them into 1/2 from even money to keep Sam Maguire in the capital in 2021.

BoyleSports spokesman, Lawrence Lyons, said: “We’re cutting Dublin already and the fact that they are odds-on at 1/2 shows just how highly this side is thought of amongst Irish punters.

"We make Kerry second favourites at 4/1, but all the early bets we’ve taken are backing Dublin’s dominance to continue.”

Kerry are being rated as their main dangers at 4/1, while this year's beaten finalists Mayo are 12/1 shots to be crowned champions on the 70 anniversary of their last All-Ireland title in 1951.
