Dublin Airport update as 23 countries removed from Ireland’s mandatory hotel quarantine list

Twenty-three countries are to be removed from Ireland’s mandatory hotel quarantine list as one country is to be added.

The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, has announced his intention to add one additional State to the list of designated States and remove 23.

The additional country to be added to the list is Ecuador.

Ecuador will soon be included on the booking system for Mandatory Hotel Quarantine, with non-exempt passengers from this State entering hotel quarantine starting from 04:00am on Tuesday, 31 August.

The Minister has also removed Bangladesh, Botswana, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Fiji, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Pakistan, Paraguay, Russia, South Africa, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Uganda, Uruguay, and Zimbabwe from the list of designated States for Mandatory Hotel Quarantine with effect from today.

People who do not have valid proof of vaccination or recovery arriving to Ireland having been in or transited through designated States in the previous 14 days must enter Mandatory Hotel Quarantine.
