Dublin Airport travel hopes with jobs going for six full and part-time roles

Dublin Airport is set to once again become a hub of activity as lockdown restrictions ease over the summer.

There is some good news for job seekers as a number of businesses are looking to hire for full and part-time roles in the airport.

Here is a list of six job roles that are up for grabs:

General Operator - Europcar

This full-time role includes being responsible for ensuring efficiency and smooth operation of rental vehicles.

Successful candidates will be paid €10.20 to €11 per hour.

Duties include cleaning and prepping cars, delivering them to Dublin Airport terminals and other offsite locations, and auditing the quality of vehicles both inside and outside amongst others.

Passenger Service Agent - Sky Handling Partner

This part-time temporary job pays €10.40 an hour plus an additional shift premium payment of €10 per Sunday worked.

Main responsibilities include ensuring passengers and their baggage are processed for the correct flight, verifying the validity of passengers' documentation, attending to the needs of passengers who may require special assistance, and more.

The ideal candidate will be 18 years or above, eligible to work in the EU, possess good written and verbal English language skills, willing to work a range of shift duties over 24 hours, 7 days a week.

You will also have to pass a 5-year security background check and Garda Vetting process.

Commis Chef/Demi Chefs

The Marqette Food Hall and Bar in Terminal 1 is hiring full-time Commis chefs and Demi chefs.

Applicants will be expected to work from 3am for some shifts.

They are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a desire to provide a consistently high standard of customer service, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and someone with flexibility with regards to hours.

Food and Beverage Assistants

This full-time, shift-based position will involve working at the Marqette Food Hall and Bar in Terminal 1.

You will be expected to work from 4am for some shifts.

Your main responsibilities will involve providing excellent, friendly and courteous service, ensuring that guests are acknowledged and warmly welcomed, and making sure all food and beverages are served efficiently.

Bar Staff

Another full-time position based in the Marqette Food Hall and Bar in Terminal 1.

They are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, a desire to provide a consistently high standard of customer service, and the ability to multi-task in a fact-paced environment.

Aircraft Service Agent - Sky Handling Partner

This part-time temporary role pays €11.40 an hour.

The ideal candidate will have a full clean category B driving licence, the ability to physically conduct repetitive Manual Handling duties in confined space, be flexible and work rostered shifts, and be able to work well under pressure in a calm and organised manner.

Essential requirements for application include being able to pass a 5-year security background check and Garda Vetting process, being eligible to work in the EU, possessing good written and verbal English language skills, and more.
