Dublin Airport to roll out three high-tech 'fast-track' terminals that will let passengers buy tickets through self-service kiosks

Dublin Airport is rolling out three high-tech new “fast-track” terminals, which will enable them to bypass security queues, and travel through the airport safely and quickly.

Cashless payment technology developed by Irish fintech company Facilipay will power Ireland’s first Fast Track Pass system and passengers will be able to purchase tickets through a self-service kiosk.

The new technology is designed to negate the need for physical contact, while offering passengers greater convenience and reduced waiting times.

Vincent Harrison from the daa said: “Our fast-track service delivers speed and efficiency which are particularly important for our business passengers.

“We are delighted to partner with Facilipay to enhance this product, making it even easier for passengers to tailor their travel experience.”

Those travelling can also buy ‘Lounge Passes’ in addition to a Fast-Track Pass, affording quicker access to the Airport’s private lounges and business centres.

The newer terminals proved popular among passengers since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, with the airport saying it is embracing new technology.

The service is set to expand further with the planned rollout of three additional kiosks across Terminals 1 and 2.
