Dublin Airport Terminal 2 lounge shut due to 'staff shortages'

The Terminal 2 lounge at Dublin Airport is now shut due to "staff shortages".

The lounge beside the US departure gates, 51st and Green will be closed from Tuesday 4 – Monday 10 January.

The popular spot for those flying across the pond hopes to open as normal from 07:00am on Tuesday 11.

Dublin Airport tweeted: "The T1 Lounge is operating from 08:30 – 16:00 daily. We appreciate our Guests’ understanding during this time."

The T2 lounge is "the perfect retreat away from the bustling Terminal and somewhere to enjoy a few hours of rest and relaxation before your long-haul flight."

It includes two drinks per person with snacks, barista coffee, high speed Wi-Fi to download in-flight entertainment, live sports, quiet spaces to work with multiple charging units, shower facilities to freshen up before your flight and breath-taking runway views.

Access to the glamourous area normally costs €30 per person and is complimentary to business class ticket holders.

Anyone who has pre-booked the 51st and Green Lounge you will be refunded in full.
