Dublin Airport's latest update marks 'significant restart' for some popular routes amid Covid

Dublin Airport has revealed all of its updates for November as the busy winter season kicks off and some dearly-missed routes return.

Irish passengers will be welcomed back stateside, and so the updates issued reflect a "significant restart" to some popular US destinations.

The capital’s airport will serve 123 destinations worldwide next month with 35 airline partners as it continues to rebuild its global reach amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since the last edition was published in September this year, London continues to be the most popular city destination from Dublin.

Therefore, this winter will see 242 London-bound flights alone departing Dublin Airport each week.

Over 750 flights will depart Dublin Airport every week, destined for 94 European cities.

Meanwhile, with the return of transatlantic travel from November 8, there will be 56 flights each week to six US destinations; Boston, Chicago, New York, Orlando, San Francisco, and Washington DC.

Speaking about the latest travel update, Edel Redmond, head of B2B and partner marketing at Dublin Airport, said: “We are delighted to see such a significant restart to a number of favourite routes in North America and Continental Europe to allow friends, families, and businesses to reconnect once again.

“As well as introducing some new routes, it is wonderful to see increased frequency on some of our most popular destinations too, providing even more choice and flexibility for both business and leisure customers alike.”

Three airlines will also provide updated services next month, which are:

  • Loganair - providing a new winter service to Aberdeen into the Winter Season
  • Ryanair - extending its network from Dublin Airport to in Sibiu, Romania; Kosice, Slovakia; and Agadir, Morocco
  • Vueling - flying daily from Dublin to Paris-Orly
