Dublin Airport pintmen come up with way to have a few scoops during Level 5 lockdown

One group of Irish people seem to have found a loophole that not only lets you get a fresh pint but have the craic around a table.

A post has emerged on The Angry Bartender Ireland showing a group of lads having a few scoops and they did it by booking a flight out of Dublin Airport that they have no intention of taking, Dublin Live reports.

The idea was captioned: "When the pubs are closed and the only place serving is the airport, so u book a €9.99 flight (that you have no intention of getting on) to go for beers with the lads, down there for dancing."

The post has since had a strong reaction, with many asking their friends if they're up for booking a flight anytime soon.

But not everybody is completely sold on the idea, while many others have further questions.

One said: "Best idea ever...but how do you get back out?" with another poster responding "ya don't that's your home now!"

While another commenter said: "You would want to be pretty desperate to go to these levels just for a few pints. Sad if you ask me. Six weeks without a pint isn’t going to kill ya."

The Angry Bartender was having none of it, and replied: "Ah lighten up FFS".

While others had strong opinions about the order, with one saying: "A great idea ruined by someone ordering Guinness at the airport bar. When will people learn?"

And a suggestion of how to take the idea further: "Now- might as well get on the flight and go to a country where you can have a few pints while you are at it tbh."
