Dublin Airport passenger numbers increase by 250,000 during October

Close to 1.6 million people travelled through Dublin Airport last month, up from 1.35 million in September.

The October Bank Holiday weekend was the busiest this year with Over 240,000 people passing through the airport.

However, the October passenger numbers were down 46% when compared to pre-Covid levels.

Traveller volumes to the UK was down 51% and continental Europe was down 35% when compared to 2019, with 429,000 and 1,003,000 passengers respectively.

The number of people that travelled to North America was 75% lower than pre-Covid levels.

Those travelling on domestic routes was down by 18%, as over 7,000 passengers travelled within Ireland last month.

During the year to date, almost 5.9 million passengers have travelled through Dublin Airport. This is a 79% decrease when compared to 2019.
