A Ryanair flight that landed in Dublin Airport was met by emergency services on the tarmac after a fire indication warning was issued before its arrival.
The pilot announced a mayday emergency call to air traffic controllers in Dublin as the plane touched down shortly after 11am this morning.
As many as five fire trucks were deployed to the scene after the worrying call was made.
The flight departed from London Stansted and in a statement, a Ryanair spokeswoman said: "The crew of this flight from London Stansted to Dublin on 21 Feb detected a minor technical issue with the aircraft upon landing at Dublin Airport."
She adds: "In line with procedures, the crew notified ATC, passengers disembarked normally and the aircraft is being inspected by Ryanair engineers."
Luka Cvetkovic of Instagram account Euro Spotter was at the scene and snapped the emergency services team rushing to the incident.
As the plane landed, the aircraft received the alert with the pilot reporting the 'mayday' incident to Air Traffic control according to LiveATC.net.
The tower controller told the pilot that smoke was visible upon landing but that there was nothing more once the plane was at a standstill.
The staff on board feared that an evacuation might have to take place but on closer inspection, landing gear was examined by the fire crew who confirmed there was "no heat transfer".
Nearly ten minutes after landing, the aircraft was able to successfully shut down the engines with no danger present. Crew and passengers disembarked as normal.
The plane was towed off the runway where a further inspection took place.
