Gardai at Dublin Airport had a genius response for one driver who gave a questionable excuse for having no NCT.
The driver was stopped by the officers of the Commercial Vehicle Unit at the airport during a routine check where the offence was spotted.
Giving the driver a chance to put forward a reason behind the missing disc, the person behind the wheel claimed they were a "spirit medium doing essential work".
A spokesman said that the car was seized with proceedings to follow joking that the driver "didn't see that one coming".
Gardai said: "The Garda Commercial Vehicle Unit intercepted this car with tax and no NCT.
"When stopped the driver claimed that they were a spirit medium who was doing essential work."
They continued: "The car was seized and proceedings are to follow.
"Bet they didn't see that one coming."
